Hi team,

I believe the question below is a good one that one of the project leads should answer.

I feel like we’re in a weird situation where 3/4 of the project leads aren’t active and the one that is (Daniel) doesn’t want to do a release because he’s on Windows and the binaries don’t have the correct permissions when he does a release.

How can we fix things so releases happen in a more timely manner? A lot of working is being done, but our users aren’t benefiting from regular releases.

Thanks,

Matt

Hello Guys,

I guess i am not the only one asking myself this question, is there a problem on the realeases since 7 ? seems like jhipster is having more issues to keep up with releases ?

sorry if this question seems uncalled-for, the purpose of the question is to highlight any problems you could have and maybe expose it here and find a way to solve this ?

Hello Matt,
Daniel follows closely generator-jhipster so that's why it's better we let him doing release.

Anyway, I could take care of doing the release if needed. Or I could just do the npm publish. And Daniel do the other stuff.
Daniel: let me know what you prefer and when you want the release and I can book a couple of hours to do it.

Pascal

Hi,

Let me sync with you, Pascal, to do the release.
I'm unsure I can do it this week, but I will let you know.

Thanks
Daniel Franco

We can also promote some core-contributors to have release rights, so that there are more people who can do the release

Thanks & Regards,
Deepu

Any updates on the release? Are there additional issues we should be tracking in #25259 so we don't release prematurely? I'm selfishly interested in a release so I can update my JHipster Mini-Book.

Thanks,

Matt

I can do a release today. Is there anything blocking?

Thanks & Regards,
Deepu
