Hello team,

I propose that we release JHipster 8.7.2 based on the code that is currently in the main branch. The primary reasons are improvements to Spring Boot’s Docker Compose support and to fix issues I found when doing demos earlier this month. I plan to do the release sometime this weekend.

Please vote in the next 48 hours to approve this release.

+1 to release
-1 not to release (with reasons)

Release notes:

Please use the 8.7.2 milestone if you'd to add additional issues to this release, or comment on this issue:

Thanks,

Matt

I’ll add a +1 to make it 3. I plan to start the release this evening (mountain time). The plan is to do the release, pause from publishing the release notes, update the official blueprints to match, then announce all release with the blueprints at the same time. This might take a few days.

Cheers,

Matt

Hello team,

The 8.7.2 release has been published! I’m pausing the rest of the release steps so we can upgrade blueprints and announce everything at once.

Fun fact: npm-stat.com shows a large increase in downloads last week. Not sure if it’s real or not.

Cheers,

Matt

Hello everyone,

Marcelo found an issue with 8.7.2 that prevents it from being used for blueprints. Since apps can still be generated without issues, I finished the rest of the release steps.

I’ll work on releasing 8.7.3 tomorrow. Please comment on the following issue if you’d like me to wait for anything.

Thanks,

Matt

Let’s try this again. :)

The 8.7.3 release has been published! I’m pausing the rest of the release steps so we can upgrade blueprints and announce everything at once.

Hi team,

This lengthy release week is finally over! I’m proud that we were able to update 8 blueprints as part of this release. To find out which ones, please read the release notes
