Subject: [dtea-93] Munnar packing

Hi guys and gals

With just one weekend left for you to do your final shopping and packing please dont forget to pack in the following:

1. Usual min temp at Munnar is 17C, this season due to the rains its less than 13C esp early mornings and evenings. It is advisable to carry a jacket/shawl/poncho :) made of cotton wool.

2. The roads will be slippery and muddy, shoes are recommended (no flip flops, high heels for the ladies pls:)

3. Trekking seems to be near impossible in this weather and most of our older generation (read Vasu, Rams) vetoed it down. For those who are interested can bring a pair of boots!

4. Bow ties and suits minus trousers are the latest fad for beach wear as per Vasant ( again)! But since we have cut out on Alleppey beach (sorry again Arun :( ), these wont be required.

5. Dress code for 24th had been fixed a few weeks back! Blue (any shade) sari for gals and white shirt blue jeans for the guys:)

6. For the sports lovers, do bring your own TT rackets (cant guarantee it in Teacounty), Sunita: I dont know the dress code for paragliding if you have a spare, bring it and for the rest, Uncle Toddy and Teacher classes can be arranged :)

Please let me know if I have missed out on anything :)
