you mean the jgrasstools lasinfo command?

What do you mean by geotiff data? In the las no geotiff data are
supposed to be contained, that is a raster format.

The variable records part is not supported in jgrasstools. We never
had teh need for it, so it has been left out.

What are you trying to get? The fixed record las points? That should work.

Is the file large? Can you send it to me to do a test on it?
