I've got a few questions here I'm hoping someone can answer.
I'm using jGnash on Windows 10 with the Adopt OpenJDK 11.0.6.10 (x64).
First, has anyone had a problem with unmodified keys acting as if you pressed Alt+key (e.g. you press R, but jGnash behaves as if you pressed Alt+R and eats the R you entered to open the Reports menu)? I've had this happen with two different keyboards, and I've had it happen when I was being extremely careful to make sure that I wasn't accidentally pressing Alt.
Second, a couple of things with importing transactions.
- Is it possible to turn off matching imported transactions against pre-existing transactions? I'm concerned about the accuracy of the matching, but the interface doesn't tell me which imported transaction matches with which existing transaction, so I can't verify. It also takes an annoying triple-click to change (I suspect it's one click to select the record, then a double-click change the status, actually).
- Is it possible to turn off whatever algorithm is being used to guess which account to assign transactions to? In my case, it seems to have an unholy fascination with Groceries - ATM transactions, yarn, furniture, doctor visits, medication, and books have all been selected as Groceries. In my experience it's not terribly accurate, and if I'm going to have to correct the accounts, I'd rather just do it for everything.
As usual, any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
--Matt.
