When I try to enter a transaction as a credit against a savings account listed under Bank Accounts, splitting the transaction across a number of expense account debits, the debits and credits reverse when I enter the completed transaction.  The payment becomes a debit in the cash account, and all of the expense accounts are credited.

I got around this by creating an overall expense account into which I posted the total expense, then posting a series of transfers to distribute the expenses.

Is this a bug or a feature?

Are you using formal account terms?  I've seen that confuse folks a time or two.

Thanks,
Craig
