gradle artifact naming

Recently I've upgrade Gradle to 1.5 because the used version has problems with Java 8. Just now I uploaded a new snapshot (8.0-r1-snapshot) to Sonatype and noticed something strange. The 2.2 versions are uploaded to:
https://oss.sonatype.org/content/repositories/snapshots/org/jfxtras/jfxtras-labs/

While the 8.0 are uploaded to:
https://oss.sonatype.org/content/repositories/snapshots/org/jfxtras/jfxtras-labs-8.0/

Note the sudden appearance of "8.0" in the grouping name. Is this a valid Maven path?
