I have a button type that my scanner returns called "eject".

When I run the following, nothing happens:

SaneOption saneOption = device.getOption("eject");
saneOption.setButtonValue(); // doesn't do anything???

Am I correctly understanding exactly what a button is in SANE?

Thanks!

What scanner backend are you using? These button-type options are
mysterious to me and I think a lot depends on exactly which driver
you're using.

I've never got my pixma buttons to behave as advertised in the
sane-pixma manpage. :)

It's the epson epkowa (epson2?) backend. It could be a bug in the backend. I might just leave the code the way it is for buttons and see if anyone else can get their buttons to work (see attached image).
