I know nothing about the people in the picture. I don't know if they were local, or soldiers coming from somewhere else positioned in the town.

they look Ruissians to me, but I may be wrong.

on the back of the picture it says only:

Kantine

1916

Jezierna

of course the picture was taken during the first world war.

As I have all military and the rest of the photos from this site catalogued, I'll photo compare them and we can analyxe the pics later today.

Hi,
I have a picture of my maternal grandfather "Löffler", dressed in a similar
manner. He was Austrian and forced to go to the war against Russia.
