Iinstalled the driverpack on this website, and also tried driverpack solution too just to see if anything was missing. I am using the USB-C/HDMI adapter that comes with the laptop and plugs into the side, not my own.
I too am having difficulty with my HDMI. I can get picture on my TV, but no sound. I have reported this and they are sending me lots of tests to do. However nothing seems to work. I suggested that they send me another HDMI port. But they say i have to do more tests.
I've downloaded the full driver pack from the website, and the printer is working fine, the copying function is working fine--but when I click on any of the options in the IJ Scan Utility, I get this message:
Hi Amethyst! Thanks for posting in the Canon Community Forum. I see that you can use your PIXMA MG2522 to print and make copies, but you are unable to use the IJ Scan Utility on your Windows 10 computer.
The error that you are getting (Code 5, 156, 69) indicates that the program is unable to communicate with the scanner. While it is possible that there is an issue with the scanner driver, the more likely cause is security software (or a setting) interfering with the communication. The communication is being blocked, so the computer thinks the scanner is turned off or disconnected.
If you have a security program installed on your computer, try disabling it before you use the IJ Scan Utility. If that does not help, I recommend that you try using a different program to test the scanner. For example, you can try using the Paint program to scan from your computer.
If you are able to print from your computer and you can scan from Paint or another Windows program like Scan and Fax, it is very likely that a security program or a computer security setting is preventing you from using the IJ Scan Utility. I recommend that you contact the security software developer or your computer manufacturer. They may be able to adjust the program by making an exception for the IJ Scan Utility.
Please click on the DOWNLOAD button to the right of the MG2522/MG2525 MP Drivers Ver. 1.02. When it finishes downloading, please run it and follow the instructions. Please do not connect the USB cable until that program tells you to turn the printer on and connect the cable.
Just wanted to say thank you, this worked for me. It scanned with paint. I only have windows defender so I allowed the utility and printer through but it still wouldn't scan so I reinstalled the drivers as instructed and it instantly scanned with the utility.
Excellent solution, EXCEPT that version 1.02 for 14.9MB is no longer present as the fourth item on the list. The THIRD item on the list is a security patch at 42.41KB. And I've uninstalled my Canon device and print driver. NOW what do I do?
I'm trying to use my new GIGA board on a 64-bit Windows 7 computer using IDE v1.8.19. After installing the board from the Boards manager, the COM port is not showing up correctly in Windows. The Device Manager shows it as "Other devices / Giga" (with a yellow exclamation mark).
I completed items 1-3 but have not resolved the issue. The Giga board shows INSTALLED int he boards mamager. As I mentioned, the board connected with no issues on my Windows 10 computer, it's just not the one I usually use for coding.
Probably this is the Problem why Windows 10 cannot handle correct GIGA R1 Board..
Under Windows devicemanager my GIGA R1 Board appears as a microsoft Device an not other Board, like the Micro, as a Arduino Device...
@weezyworks_de What you found out is interesting. Please use the Contact us
form to contact Arduino Tech Support with all the details of the issue and what you found out . It will be looked into in details and solution to the issue found.
I tried to change the driver file manually to correct PID: 0x0366, but Windows 10 notices the manual change and refuses to install the driver, because the driver signature verification are fault after changing manually.
I'm working on a shed automation project with a friend of mine, I recommended the Arduino GiGA board since i knew it had all the capability, we just received the board and haven't been able to upload anything.
Arduino giga shows up under device manager as giga (other Devices) and no serial port for comms, hopefully Ardunio releases a driver that works for this board soon, we just bought this board and haven't been able to use for anything, its a bit disappointing.
I just received my Giga R1 boards and have IDE 2.2.1 loaded on my Win10 HP Elitedesk G2 with "Arduino MBed OS Giga Boards" 4.0.6 board manager loaded. I plug in the Giga R1 and get a green LED next to the power connector. I cannot see the port for the Giga R1 in the IDE, and windows Device Manager does not see a COM port when I plug the Giga R1 in like I can see with a Mega. There are no 'issues' in Device Manager. I have tried several brand new USB-A-to-USB-C cables with no change.
Issue resolved... I held the BOOT0 button for about 5 seconds and the STM32CubeProgrammer was able to see the board and I was able to load the .elf file. After that, the board popped right up.
Since the 1950s, office environments have used efficiency of space as a primary design driver: pack more people into smaller spaces to generate greater revenue per square foot. In the majority of cases, the result of this approach typically trended toward minimal flexibility for individual work preferences, lack of individual environmental control, and design that is focused on spatial efficiency instead of employee satisfaction and effectiveness. The sustainability movement has helped to advocate for the individual and improve the quality of space, light, air, and material in our office environments. The movement is defined and primarily driven by global energy and water concerns. It has taken decades to gain traction, in part, because it is difficult for the general population to see the results of the exhaustive efforts invested in changing a global issue. But what if the driver for change is a clear and present danger that impacts each of us personally?
Suddenly, we have in front of us, a design challenge driven by the immediate health and safety of humankind. If that was not enough of a driver, most people have been forced to immediately and dramatically change our day-to-day work, personal routine, habits, and expectations. Resetting a habit can take anywhere from 21 to 70 days depending on what source you read, yet, changing personal expectations is typically a much harder challenge.
Now extend that to a society and the task becomes herculean. Enter necessity. The mother of all inventions. In the past three months, we have seen expectations around work environments on a personal, corporate, national, and global scale turned on its head. I hesitate to say never, but I do not believe we will see another opportunity in our lifetime to effect change in workplace architecture like we have at this moment.
Are you working from home? Do you have a good view? Do you like your lighting? Are you comfortable? More or less comfortable than in the office in which you typically work? Why or why not? What amenities do you have at home that you miss in the office? What about things from the office that you miss?
For most people I have talked to over the past couple of months, working from home has been an enjoyable experience from the perspective of their environment and in more time with their families. The majority of people working from home have carved out a dedicated space to use for their professional activities. Some spaces, like mine, are centralized and in the middle of the primary circulation path. The spaces are high-energy and very distracting at times, but have great light and views. Some spaces are in separate rooms, basements, or even kitchens. One person I know uses his RV as a home office. No matter the eclectic set up, there are some inherent consistencies and benefits of work-from-home spaces. I asked some of our staff to share a glimpse into their newly professionalized living spaces and they are shared at the end of the article. The variety is wonderful.
On the flip side, some DIY offices are relegated to the basement, a large walk-in closet, or the attic space that almost allows you to stand up straight without hitting your head on the rafters. In these cases, the daily visual experience is lacking in daylight, views, and, often, adequate electric lighting. This can lead to an increase in stress and dissatisfaction with working from home.
