The nasal pronunciation of 'ayn is found primarily among Italian Jews
and Sephardic Jews in Amsterdam (and from there to New York City,
Congregation Shearith Yisrael, where it is still retained by older
people).
It is true that there are some contacts in the musical traditions of
the Italian and Dutch communities: for instance, the version of
Hallel, known as "Hallel d'Italia".
