You may have heard about the CJP/PresenTense Boston Social Entrepreneur Fellowship, a new program designed to give Jewish young adults in Boston the tools and networks they need to launch successful projects that engage, leverage, and inspire the Boston Jewish community.  We have received great interest from Jewish young adults in the Boston area, but we had been hoping for more applications for ideas from within existing organizations, because we believe that innovation and new ideas come from both the outside and the inside. To that end, we are briefly re-opening the application for organizations to encourage you to apply with ideas for innovations that would be based within your organization.

The CJP/PresenTense Fellowship is a unique 5-month program beginning in January, 2010.   Fellows will learn core entrepreneurial skills and proficiencies through three day-long seminars and monthly skillbuilding sessions, they will be matched with a high-profile mentor from a relevant field, and participate in ongoing coaching and peer workshops.  The Fellowship will culminate in May at a Launch Night where fellows will pitch their projects to the community, including potential funders, collaborators and other VIPs in the Greater Boston area.  All sessions will take place on weeknights and Sundays.  See the attached sheet for more information.

If you or someone in your organization has an idea about how to engage, leverage, and inspire the Boston Jewish community, especially the young adult community, in a new way, please consider applying!  The deadline for individuals based in local organizations has been extended to Sunday, November 22nd at 6pm.  Even though you only have a week to apply, the application is fairly short and straight forward.  Please visit www.bostonfellowship.com to see the application and learn more.  If you have any questions, please email us at bostonfe...@presentense.org or call Elana Boehm at 617-457-8586.

Please note that this program is distinct from the CJP Young Adult Community Grants Program, which provides grants of up to $3,000 to support innovative community-building programs for promising Jewish young adult organizations.  If you are interested in that program, please contact Abby Goldenthal at ab...@cjp.org.

Thanks and we look forward to working together to ensure that Boston remains a community of innovation and engagement for our generation,
