Are there instructions anywhere on how to edit templates for creation?
That would be sweet.

All the templates are included in jeweler itself, so you can't really edit them without patching jeweler, as is.

I would suggest looking at lib/jeweler/generator.rb, because it is where the file creation actually happens.
