educational travel is seeking a University Relations Manager, Northeast.

Role Purpose:
Focus on relationship building and growing business partnerships between
STA Travel and assigned customers within the North East territory.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assumes responsibility in conjunction with BDM for targeting new
business and partnerships within territory
* Attend Study Abroad fairs and re-entry conferences in region
* Aid in RFP Responses: Working alongside BDM/AM to assist in RFP's to
ensure deadlines are met
* Present and network with University Study Abroad Staff and Professors
within territory
* Work with BDM and AM on University Communication Plan which would
include creating marketing materials needed for study abroad fares,
NAFSA and re-entry conferences
* Work with student organizations and classes including
sororities/fraternities, Special Interest Groups, Pre-departure sessions
and International student groups on campus
* Attend and present at regional NAFSA conferences
* Generates new business leads through prospecting, cold calls,
marketing analysis/targeting key accounts
* Interface closely with marketing, and internal business units to
develop impactful tools that support business growth within territory
* Assists BDM and Vice President in annual new business budget
preparation
* Ensure budget and fiscal compliance
* Other duties as assigned
Key Skills:
* Project Management/Organization - Ability to manage multiple projects
under tight deadlines, organize and complete multiple projects
efficiently and on time. This is a self starter who thrives with
minimal supervision.
* Business Acumen - Solid understanding of the role B2B plays in
strategic planning; ability to transform key data into clear business
commentary and action points; ability to summarize results with a focus
on business implications and decisions.
* Communication Skills - Provide actionable reporting of projects via
written reports or presentations, strong verbal and written
communication skills and the ability to clearly communicate results and
conclusions to various constituencies.
*Interpersonal Skills - Ability to work as part of a diverse team and
interact effectively with all levels of management; ability to build
cooperative, productive relationships.
*Leadership Ability - Ability to successfully guide and consult with
internal partners in creating a vision, establishing an agenda, and
mobilizing the organization around key priorities; experience with
coaching, counseling, and developing direct reports in their roles.
*Decision Making/Recommending Ability - Strong analytical, creative and
problem solving skills with drive for results. Understands target
customers total business objectives with ability to recommend
appropriate solutions.
*Software Aptitude - Strong knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint,
Salesforce.com
Other Requirements:
*Minimum 3 years business development, account management or related
experience (ideally within the Northeast)
*Ability to travel up to 50%, including overnight and occasional
weekends
*Ability to work long hours, if assigned
*Ability to exert up to 15 lbs. on a regular basis
