Purpose of the Position/Job Summary:
The Business Development and Strategic Partnerships Associate will drive Mitsubishi Corporation (Americas) Silicon Valley office’s growth by executing the business development and strategic partnership activities and conducting business development research.
Key Accountabilities:
< Open Innovation Platform Initiatives and Operations >
Work collaboratively with members of the Open Innovation Platform, ensuring smooth operations of its initiatives.
Coordinate and oversee activities and cross-functional projects for both the Open Innovation Platform members and internal stakeholders
Conduct comprehensive data analysis and provide analytical support of certain industries and markets using external resources.
< Business Development >
Facilitate new business development activities, foster a collaborative environment and build strong relationships with both internal and external business partners.
Develop and present presentation materials for business development activities.
Collaborate with Mitsubishi Corporation’s business groups as a member of the corporate business development support team on various activities to develop new business development activities and coordinate to connect with related external entities. Organize and lead the Open Innovation Platform community and networking activities to enhance the Silicon Valley Office corporate citizen images and engage with key players in the ecosystem.
Procure new resources to enhance operational efficiency by improving productivity.
Key Qualifications - REQUIRED:
1-4 years of relevant experience in research and business development
Intermediate-level experience in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Business-level English and Japanese proficiency
Strong writing skills
Experience in supporting operations, initiatives, and administrative tasks within a corporate setting.
Demonstrated experience in conducting industry and market analysis using various external sources.
Bachelor’s degree
