Can I check the firmware support for RGB lighting before I order anything in - is it still a BlinkM MaxM?

Support used to exist and work. However, I don't know that anyone has used it -- BlinkM support -- in over 4 years.
Perhaps someone may still be using it? We'll have to wait and see if anyone else replies.

I should probably clarify it's for a Thing-O-Matic running Sailfish

Unfortunately, the response remains the same. I don't know that anyone has tested that feature.
Jetty added it circa 2011 and I don't know that he's used it himself since 2013 or 2014. While
others may have used that feature, they will need to speak up. (And right now, some of the
die hard ToM users are travelling to the Midwest RepRap Faire in Goshen, Indiana as I write this.)

Thanks for the quick reply - I've ordered one, so hopefully there's nothing better!

I'm a "Die hard ToM user" - well my ToM is still printing anyhow.  I do use the RGB feature on mine and it is Blink-M - but I haven't updated since Sailfish v4.7. (and have no reason to - it works fine).   I use the Blink-M with some super cheap RGB strips.  Mood lighting works (for the most part - I still can't get the M-codes mid print to change the color from "RED" (the temp status color) to white to make seeing the print easier.  I just wish I didn't have to post-process after Cura to convert to X3G.

Fantastic! You're using Cura to slice instead of ReplicatorG then?
