Hi,

I know this is an old subject, but I am asking to see if anything changed.
will .X3G never be able to control fan using PWM?
isn't there is other PWM controls such as the hotends? , which brings,  can any other controls be used for the fan?  second Hotend? .
And the RGB light . . .  I read it only has two on/off wires going to it? wow that doesn't make sense to me, I mean I can tell it to go to any color of the rainbow through this some software, I think it was makerbot desktop, I don't use it anymore.
Maybe the newer hardware can do more?  or maybe their "closed source" software is making it happen.
I don't understand the .X3G controls, but I do on some hardware logic, If you can utilize the two on/off control from light, I could make an arduino circuit to drive the fan at 4 different speeds.
I am just trying to exploit the possibility, I don't mean to beat a dead horse.
