To quote Logan Roy—right now we are just not a serious organization. We’re not just bad, we’re completely irrelevant and lack anything to even remotely make watching on Sunday worthwhile.

the NFL should have just left the Jets overseas.... cancel res of their games, put them down for 0-17, force Woody to sell to an EPL owner that knows what he's doing and start over thereby getting the NFL it's inevitable first UK team

I'm 49 with my earliest Jets memory being the Mud Bowl and have no idea why I continue to even turn the Jets games on but I do.... so my hat is off to those of you whose intestinal fortitude has kept you with this team even longer!

Yep…that display on Sunday…Oy vey.  I admittedly don’t recall too much of the 1996 season under Kotite, but I am pretty sure that game on Sunday was the worst coached Jets game I have seen in my life.  And then on top of it, the post-game presser was the cherry on top.

I like Glenn and was happy when they gave him the chance to be the HC, but if he doesn’t drop the Parcells-era tough guy BS he may not last the season…it’s embarrassing.  The press is full of nasty little shits but the question Costello asked him, specifically if Fields is still QB1 was a completely reasonable and legitimate question.  No question their problems are more than just Fields, but he’s not the solution either.  He threw for 45 freaking yards in an NFL game in the year 2025….he’s been generally below average to bad, other than when he runs the ball.  All he had to say was “Yes, he’s still QB1, next question”.  Instead he gets all indignant and speaks to these guys like they’re idiots.  And maybe they are…but you can’t do that, at least not until you have an actual earned winning resume as a HC.

I don’t know…it’s hard to imagine, even for the Jets for Woody to go one and done with Glenn, but if this whole ball of shit continues for the whole season, and then someone like, for example, John Harbaugh becomes available, hard to imagine Woody sitting still.

The fact that they brought Fields in after Chicago and Pittsburgh dumped him tells us all we need to know about the current Jet Front Office.  Look, Fields was 4-2 with the Steelers and they still dumped him.  THEY KNEW HE WAS NOT NFL QB MATERIAL.  Making matters worse is that they gave the guy $40 million with $30 million guaranteed.  The average QB gets about 2.5 seconds to get a pass off.  Fields is getting over 3 seconds.  He has no vision.  He's athletic, but his lack of vision and pocket presence offsets that.  Baker Mayfield, much less athletic moves around well in the pocket, his vision allows him to escape and either make a pass or run.  Fields doesn't have any of those skills.  Fields would make a great punt and kick off returner, maybe a slot receiver.

In days gone by, we would all be talking about how well the Special Teams and Defense played in this game.  We'd have hope.  No longer.  We long time Jet fans have gone through all of the emotions of anger, sadness, and hope.  We are now in the mode of "acceptance".  We accept our annual fate of starting to talk about the draft before the season is half over.
