Good day! 0.7.3 has worked great for synchronizing our S3 files to multiple backup locations just "in case." Today I thought, well heck, time to upgrade. Did so, but I keep getting this error when synchronizing. Here's the basic command. I did remove the --skipmetadata since it's not longer in user.

/Volumes/Internal/jets3t-0.9.0/bin/synchronize.s3assets1.cj.sh DOWN n1assets1.portals1.chalkjock.com /Volumes/1TBFirewire/JAM/S3-Backups/BackupFiles/1-Monday/n1assets1.portals1.chalkjock.com  --batch  --quiet >> /var/log/amazon-s3.1-Monday.log

Any clues as to why the error is being thrown? In 0.7.3, a local directory was automatically created if it didn't exist.

Thank you!

Aaron

Hi Aaron,

I can't see the actual error message in your post?

But from what you said, I assume it's that a target download directory must already exist when you download to it with Synchronize, otherwise it fails with an error message. Looking at the code changes since 0.7.3 I can see I changed this behaviour (in changeset #1105 to be exact).

But I can't see that there was a good reason for this change, so I've undone it in commit #1374 [1] -- if you're able and willing to run the latest code you can continue using your scripts unchanged, but if not you might have to have your script(s) create the target directory before starting Synchronize.
