ETag

Hi All ,


          Can anybody Please tell me about Etag ? How it is generated and on what basis (logic) ?

S3's object ETag is in most, but not all, cases the MD5 hash value of the stored object data. Objects stored via multipart uploads do not have an MD5 ETag value, and there isn't really any guarantee that the ETag==MD5 rule will hold for other new API operations.
