errors using sidebar

Hello,

I was using Jeteye for the first time the other day and was impressed
and pleased with its functionality. I had used the sidebar to create
2 jet packs. When I went back the next day, I signed into the sidebar
and immediately got this error:

"(401) [object XMLDocument]"


My jetpacks do not appear in the side bar (they do exist if I access
using the webpage). Then when I tried to drag something to the
sidebar, it wouldn't update. When I click on the inbox tab it gives
this error:

"You have been logged out by the server"

and returns me to the sign in page in the sidebar.

Today I have uninstalled and re-installed the add-in with the same
results. i am using Firefox version 3.0.1 on a PC running XP Pro
Service Pack 2.

Any Ideas?

I've seen this with a few people who have upgraded from FF2 to FF3.
Something is getting corrupted in the FF profile which prevents the
Jeteye extension (and some others) from working properly. A fresh
profile fixes it.

There are detailed instructions here for creating a new FF profile and
moving your bookmarks and other files over.

I have tried to create another profile to no avail. I even tried to
uninstall the program and wipe the slate clean. what next?

Try this:

1) Quit Firefox.
2) Goto Start->Run
3) Type 'cmd' - click ok
4) Paste this: "c:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -p

This should start firefox with the profile dialog. Create a new
profile, call it whatever you want and then start Firefox with that
new profile.

5) Install Jeteye plugin - you can get the latest version here:
http://downloads.jeteye.com/jeteye-1.6.5.2.xpi

Try and login. This will be as clean an installation as you can get.

Let me know how that works.
