Hi Dopi,

As you know, some firmware doesnt support this Jetdroid bootloader. I would like to know where to fix (and possibly how) for this firmware issue. What I found was, it doesnt even accept the Jetdroid bootloader upon flashing using multiloader, as there were hardaware address conflict between the DX firmware and the Jetdroid bootloader.

By the way, the firmware that i mentioned was S800MDX firmwares.

thanks,

Dopi

Hi Edwin,

I am aware of the problems with the DX firmware. The problem is, that the JetQi bootloader calls functions from the original firmware. To support DX we need to disassemble the DX firmware and find the adresses of the functions we need to call. I already started disassembling but did not get very far. If you have access to the pro version of IDA disassembler I can try to guide you to find the entry points.

Cheers,

Dopi

Hi Edwin,

we got a report from a user in our wiki that the current JetQi bootloader binary is working with the S800MDXIL3 firmware version. Can you confirm this?

Cheers,

Dopi

hi dopi,

I have tried few firmwares on S800MDX, all of it couldnt passed flashing to JetQi bootloader as there were hardware address conflicts.

i couldnt remember which versions of it is in my tested list. I am using IL3 now, i shall flash the jetqi bootloader when I get home later to have a try.

thnx

hi Dopi,

I have tried flashing the Jetqi with IL3 firmware. This time i only flash the bootloader and left everything else intact, the result was still the same - unable to bootup. If i flash Jetqi together with the full IL3 firmware, it will stop half way as there are hardware address conflict between the Jetqi and the IL3 firmware(not the bootloader). I have no idea how khiu91 did that, but seriously it isnt possible at all, and he might have mistaken for other firmware instead of DXIL3.

Thnx

Dopi

Hi Edwin,

thanks for trying this again. I was hoping we could find a solution without having to create a new JetQi version. So, I will continue to work on this.

Cheers,

Dopi
