ok, looking back over the archives back to the beginning of june i can't find anything specifying anything that anyone could contribute materially to, aside from something from anyservice.com or some site like that. those who know what is needed anything that is not being made available to the group for only the reason of a lack of some money for a manual or file, please list them on this thread so those of us who are not so good with code but want to see this project advance and want to help can provide a little financial assistance to gain the material required.

i remember someone saying recently something about buying dev boards to gain full wiring schematics of chips we as yet don't know how they link together, or something like that, that's the kind of thing i'm talking about. let us know what us less technical types can do to help move things forward... if any.

Hi Loki,

thanks for bringing up this topic. The information that we need from the schematics is now available. I am currently trying to store it in the wiki. No money or whats however effort is needed. :-D

Cheers,

Dopi

i'm pretty handy with an image editor and text/html editor and i can type very fast so if the problem is about needing data transferred from an image format or locked pdf or whatever, i'd be more than happy to help get it into a usable form.

Hello Dopi,

If i understood correctly, you just get the schematics for the chips
that will help you to build the drivers ? Without these, you would
have made slow progress, and now you have the informations to
continue?
Once the drivers are done, the function associated should be working?

I understand it can takes months, maybe (probably) never be fully
functionnal, but what is important to me is that the project is still
on tracks.

I don't know how to code. But I'm very interested in your work and i'm
ready to help in a way i can. (like testing, but i need to buy the
S8000 first, maybe financial support etc... ) And i Know i'm not the
only one.

So good luck.

Hi Tranquill64,

your are right. The information from the schematics makes development much easier. It is still much work to do. Thus I can't comment when we will have it working completely. If there is something new to test I will let you (and all others) know.

Cheers,

Dopi

Hi Dopi,

There are many (many) people lined up offering their help. We all know
you're working very hard to get things going. Wouldn't it be a great
time to split up tasks and make it a joint effort?

best regards - Thijs

Hi Thijs,

yes, that's a great idea. I had the same thought last evening ;-) I will send a list of tasks later today.

Cheers,

I would like to say that it might be a good idea to make this list and
what you have been doing recently, in a prominent position on the main
page. It may help the people who ask for this information.

Hi all,

I created a kernel snapshot package for testing. It is called 0.3pre1 and is available from the brand-new JetDroid forum website on JetDroid.org. ( http://www.jetdroid.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=13 ).

A loose list of tasks that I think should be acomplished for our next release is available here: http://www.jetdroid.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=16

Any help in working on these issues is greatly appreciated. Please use new JetDroid.org forum for related discussion and for publishing new insights and howto's.

Cheers,

Dopi

Very impressive new forum! Should I post my guide there? (I won't be
able to right now, but will try soon tonight if it is acceptable.)

Hi Bonsitm,

that would be a great contribution to the new forum. I would very much appreciate your input.

Cheers,

Dopi
