Good afternoon Ben,

It was a first class regatta despite the less than perfect weather in large part to you and your race committee's efforts.  Thank you for making your boat available for Mark to sail.  He had a blast and more than mildly interested in getting his own Jet.  It is always a little hard on the nerves to loan out a boat, let me know if anything gets broken or lost, I am more than happy to help make repairs.  I hope you can find time to balance teaching Amanda to sail and crewing in a Jet.  We miss having you at all our events.  Thank you again for the difficult rescue.  My bad.  Great Pictures!

Hope to see you both again soon,  Marion

Marion,
Thanks for coming down for the regatta, we had a great time putting it on.  We'll definitely be up for the Halloween Classic, and hopefully our work schedules will be more conducive to sailing next year (wedding/honeymoon ate up a lot of vacation time, too)  We'll be out more next year.

See you soon!

Ben

We're working down to fighting weight...

How's the water level situation at Charles Mill?

Good morning Ben,

Rest easy, even the heavier crews that over eat at the He Man will have plenty of water.  We are a flood control reservoir, not a water source, so we mostly experience a reduced flow as opposed to a reduced summer pool level as the Army Corps likes to call it.  The technology to make Chuck Mill waters potable can be, shall we say, rather dicey, so the fellow that made the call to utilize the lake for flood control only was using good judgment for a change, or possible listened to the Native Americans for once, being familiar with the river for say 10,000 years prior as they were.

Just add a good sailing breeze and we will be set.  See you soon,  Marion

Marion,
Should we do a write-up for the buckeye blast or should we whip something up?
Nate
