        To commemorate the 500th anniversary of John Calvin's birth, (July 20th, 2009) I have decided to release a song I've written about my own personal journey to embracing the Doctrines of Grace and how that grace was the determining factor in my own regeneration. Raised to hold to the beliefs of Arminianism, I thought that I could trust in a decision that I made as a child, but the night God gave me a new heart, he also gave me new eyes to behold the glory of His grace. That night I experienced Jesus' teaching on the rebirth from John 3, "The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” (John 3:8) If you are not sure what to think about this topic or you'd like to find out more information on the Calvinistic perspective/soteriology, I recommend that you read Sam Storm's book "Chosen For Life."
