A ‘DIE HARD’ OR AN ‘EASY GO EASY’ PERSON
Oftentimes I have wondered why some
things we pray about don’t just come to pass. Yes it is true that God answers prayers and loves to see us comfortable and fulfilled in life but He needs to see more steam come out of our engines.
Jesus in teaching us about persistence in prayer in Luke 18 tells us of a widow who was always going to the Judge, pleading for her cause. The Judge’s refusal to hear her didn’t deter her but instead propelled her coming everyday. She was a ‘Die hard’ and wasn’t just an ‘easy go easy’ widow.
Oh, how we need such Christians on the face of the earth today. Many of us are cold and need to have the Spirit of God revive our hearts and cause us to bend our knees the
more. Maybe we are comfortable and have nothing serious bothering us, so the urge to pray isn’t there cos there are no serious material issues. We need to be ‘Die hard’ Christians who wouldn’t bulge until God visits and perfects all that concerns us, bringing us into the place of destiny.
Joshua was such a man, who would tarry up in the mount before God even after Moses had left. I guess He must have been praying for some Mosaic virtues to fall on him. Such valiance draws the heart of God and makes Him move mightily.
Some things might not be working for you and there might be stagnation in diverse areas of your life. Maybe all you need is a little more
steam, holding on to God and His word like Jacob held on to the angel. It wouldn’t cost God anything to perfect all that concerns you; all He needs in return is your heart and complete devotion to Him. He wants to be your Lord and the controller of your life. Never again should your life be ruled by fear, anxiety and the flesh. The man whose life is anchored on God knows no fear save the fear of the Lord. Nations might be crumbling around him, but his heart is fixed trusting in the Lord (Ps 112:7).
Destiny is just a steam away, a knee rightly positioned and a heart firmly fixed on God.
Remember, you don’t have to be a professional for things to work for you
but even as an amateur, God can work through you to confound even the professionals. Don’t give up because victory is sure.
May the Lord help us not to relent and lose heart, but always checking where we stand daily and making sure there are no stains because the battle of the Lord are only fought on Holy ground.
NB: Most times people give up when the miracle is just an inch away.
Yours,
Babasegun
