Hello,

After having received some comments regarding my strong lean toward
the Hebrew scripture, I realize that what is important is to mention
that although Jesus Christ is more Jewish and Hebrew than all the
other Jews that ever lived combined because he is God that makes him
even more kind, merciful, and loving to those whom are simplistic with
little understanding about God. Many people today see the restoration
between Jews and Gentiles as complete and embodied in the church,
however because many are being saved and continue to be saved we
should not see God’s work as being complete. Having said that the
only way that any of us are saved is by Adam being killed in us and by
taking on the new nature of Christ (living in the vine).

The reason why the book of Genesis is the most important book of the
bible is because even the very first book of the New Testament
(Matthew) starts in its very first words talking about the genealogy
of Jesus Christ, and if you understand this you can see the life of
Christ foreshadowed in the scripture through Genesis and you can
understand God more clearly by far this way. Genesis tells a complete
message of salvation regarding Christ, and if you understand this than
the law is a powerful testimony about God’s preferences for his wife,
and if you understand this then with history and geography you can
understand the profits. Overall, the gospels then become very clear
that Jesus is whom he says he is, and from then on you can understand
why the epistles said what they said.

The reason why many churches for the most part throw out the Hebrew
scripture is because they first of all do not understand it, and
second most of the time they would like simply to not have to be very
concerned about God (they just want to believe a certain way and be
given all the wonderful gifts that God’s covenant will bestow upon
them (the less effort in belief and the more blessing the better
people think)). The reason why churches have such divided,
superficial, and strange views is because they often a have
superficial understanding of God as a result of being so far removed
from Hebrew Scripture. Overall, if you read the profits carefully
then you will learn that the kingdom of Israel will be restored yet
again in the historic Jewish homeland (as has happened in our
lifetimes), and soon enough all of those whom believe in Jesus Christ
will be made into one unified body (the Jews whom for thousands of
years opposed Christ will suddenly see whom they killed, know him, and
acknowledge him as Lord) Ezekiel 4-12, Revelation 1:7, and careful
attention to Ezekiel 11:14-21.

The point is that the law will never make anything righteous nor
should be fear it because it is written about Christ.

Thank you,

Mathew Enoch Mount

in all honesty, this is one of the best posts you've made that i
recall. your third paragraph especially is a very well articulated
point that rings with much relevance, and you overview that aspect of
practiced Christianity quite perfectly and concise, but hitting on all
the major points.

correcting this flawed practice (in terms of actually living it out
within the church) would not only be a tremendous shift in Christian
demeanor, but more so one step closer to true "Christendom."

First of all, I want to apologize for my tone in a couple of earlier
strings. Not only was I in error, but through inference and the
prideful lure to appear cleaver I came off as judgemental and
sophomoric, regarding Brother Mathew’s gifts, and the focus of his
ministry. For this I can only try to express my contrition, and ask
for your forgiveness. I should have never allowed zeal to move
forward make me dismissive of the foundational, and essential nature
of the Law, History, and prophecy of the Old Testament regarding
Jesus.
As Brother Colbert (easier than sorting out Adams) mentioned, Brother
Mathew’s post is clear, insightful, and to the point. It represents a
truth that no shorthand, pop culture spiel on my part should ever,
even inadvertently, cloud. I stand corrected.
I also apologize for the slap-dash representation of Saint Paul’s
ministry I gave. Brother Jacob’s post regarding this also cleared my
head, and frankly, made me feel shame for my cavalier, self-serving
attitude.

I can only hope and pray that I may be as bright and illuminating of a
lamp stand as Brothers Mat, Adam and Jacob.

Peace, and all Good Things.

Hello,

You really do not know how much your posts mean to me because usually whenever
I say anything about God being in the least bit in favor of the Law of Moses
or that he has a plan to eventually show himself to the historic physical
descendants of Abraham most people go nuts and speak against me (often quoting
Romans). I was in fact concerned that all the active members of Jesus on the
Web would flee when I spoke about the Hebrew scripture in any strong way
regarding Jesus Christ. Overall, for most churches something like 95% of
teaching is directly from the epistles and a smaller portion is form the
gospels and yet a even smaller portion is from the Hebrew scripture (never
from the law of Moses), and thus because such a vast collection of Churches
are like that I would rather be the opposite to counter act a lot of
misconceptions.

Thank you,

Without insights into the foundational documents monotheism, and
particulary the legal, historic, and prophetic revelations of the Old
Testament, many readings of the New Testament lack the context in
which Jesus’ ministry is presented.
Whether it is regarding John’s Baptism movement, or Jesus’ Kingdom
movement, or Paul’s own personal journey, without this understanding
much is missed. Your knowledge and unique observations of the
essentials of our faith are thought provoking, in the very least.
