The Lord your God will keep His covenant of love with you, as He swore
to your forefathers. He will love you and bless.
( Deuteronomy 7:12-13 *NIV )

Sadly, as you know this World is filled with people who feel unloved,
and will do almost anything to find it. What a shame it is that they
do not know God, for it is written; God is love. Who ever lives in
love lives in God, and God in him.
( 1 John 4:16 )

After all, whether they know it or not, everyone is surrounded
by God's Great Love for it is like the oxygen we breathe; there is
plenty of it for each of us, and still so very many are starving for
it!

Why not reach out to another today, and share a little of God's love
with them. After all Jesus said; "You shall love your neighbor as
yourself.'" ( Matthew 19:19 ) and
He also said, "This is my command: Love each other."
( John 15:17 )

After all sharing God's Love is as simple to do as saying thank you to
a store clerk, or just smiling at another and saying "How are you
today!" Little acts of kindness like these go along way towards
brightening up another's day, and by doing such things it brightens
our day as well!

So the next time you pray thank God for filling you with His Love,
and remember to; Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love
endures forever. Amen! ( Psalms 136:1 )

It is written:
In six days the Lord made the heavens
and the earth, the sea, and all that is in
them, and rested the seventh day.
Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath
day and hallowed it.
( Exodus 20:11 *NKJV )

It seems that every week I receive emails inquiring about
the day of Worship. So today we will look at who changed the
day of Worship from Saturday, as the Ten Commandments
require, to Sunday.

Now even the Solar calendar used in the time of Moses declared
Saturday as the seventh day. So does our calendar today.
So what changed to make our day of worship the first day
of the week, or Sunday? We must go back in time to about
300 A. D. to find that answer. You see, the Roman Ruler
Constantine, changed the day of worship because
he felt since Christ was resurrected on a Sunday, it was The
Lord's Day, and the best day to worship HIM. Therefore he
ordered all businesses closed on Sunday instead of Saturday.
He also pushed the Church to follow that order as well.
Now they eventually did. Thus Sunday became the day
of worship instead of Saturday, something still followed by
most Churches today. This is another example of man
changing God's Holy Word.

Now not all that Constantine did was against God's Word.
On the plus side, he was the one that made Christianity legal
by proclaiming "The Edict of Milan." That Edict established
tolerance for all religions including Christianity. He further
gave large sums of money to help the Christian faith become
what it is today. So it is not ours to judge him, after all that
job belongs to God, not us.

So now; You shall know the truth, and the
truth shall make you free." Amen. ( JOHN 8:32 )

Then David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone; and he slung
it and struck the Philistine in his forehead, so that the stone sank
into his forehead, and he fell on his face to the earth.
( 1 Samuel 17:49 *NKJV )

We all face something in our lives that seems just like the giant
Goliath did to that young shepherd boy, David. So just as David, if
we put all of our trust in our Heavenly Father, we will be victorious
as well! For God has promised us, Fear not, for I am with you; Be not
dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help
you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.' ( Isaiah
41:10 )

After all it is written that; He gives power to the weak, And to
those who have no might He increases
strength ( Isaiah 40:29 ) That is of course when; We walk by faith,
not by sight. ( 2 Corinthians 5:7 )

Therefore when facing your own "Giant," remember the story of that
young shepherd boy David, and his tremendous faith in our Heavenly
Father! After all it is written; For assuredly, I say to you, if you
have faith as a mustard seed,
you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will
move; and nothing will be impossible for you. ( Matthew 17:20 )

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His
might. ( Ephesians 6:10 ) For you
are His Child and He will always Love and Care for you as well.
Amen!

A man has joy by the answer of his mouth:
and a word spoken in due season, how
good is it!
( Proverbs 15:23 *NKJV )

Words are very powerful for they can either build up, or
tear down others. Also foolish words can bring about our
own destruction, for it is written; In the mouth of a fool is
a rod of pride, But the lips of the wise will
preserve them. ( Proverbs 14:3 )

We are also warned about gossiping for it is written;
All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk
leads only to poverty. ( Proverbs 14:23 ) For after
all, The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life,
but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.
( Proverbs 15:4 )

Further God has instructed us to encourage
one another, for it is written; And let us consider one
another in order to stir up love and good works,
not forsaking the assembling of ourselves
together, as is the manner of some, but
exhorting one another, and so much the more
as you see the Day approaching.
( Hebrews 10:24-25 )

So my friend, remember to keep the words you speak soft
and sweet. For you never know from day to day which words
you'll have to eat! Amen.

For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is
himself destroyed or lost? ( Luke 9:25 *NKJV )

As you already know in this World today it is very easy to get
caught up in our day to day life. We sometimes even seem to forget
how short our human life is compared to our Eternal life! After all
it is written; For what is your life? It is
even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes
away. ( James 4:14 )

We even see around us many people that are so consumed
by the power of money that they have lost sight of what is really
important! For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for
which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and
pierced them-
selves through with many sorrows. ( 1 Timothy 6:10 ) For their god
has become the almighty dollar, but when their life is over, all of
their money can not another moment buy!

As Children of God we have an even better life ahead of us!
One with Our Savior Jesus Christ, and a life where; God will wipe away
every tear from their eyes;
there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be
no more pain, for the former things have passed away."
( Revelation 21:4 )

Therefore what a Blessing it is to be a Child of God! So the next
time that you count all of your blessings, be sure to add that one as
well! Amen.

God's Condition for His Full Blessing

Romans 12:1-2

The Lord wants to give each of us an abundance of blessings. Let’s
explore what is required so that we may enjoy all that He has planned.

Today’s passage clarifies the one necessary condition for receiving
His best: full surrender. Every aspect of our being—body, soul, and
spirit—is to be a living sacrifice. This may sound dreary, but
contrary to human logic, true freedom is found only when we fully
yield to Christ.

In the Old Testament, sacrifice was very common. To atone for sin, a
person could bring a lamb to the altar. The animal was set apart for
God’s purposes as a holy offering, and through its death, restitution
was made.

When we give ourselves as a sacrifice, there is, thankfully, no need
for our blood to be shed. Jesus died to atone for all our sin. But out
of love and gratitude, every aspect of our lives should be dedicated
to Him.

What does a surrendered life entail? Most importantly, it involves
complete commitment to Christ, unaltered by the world’s influence. Our
desires and old ways of functioning are no longer driving forces.
Instead, His Spirit guides, and His will is the goal. Yielding to Him
means following His way in attitude, words, thoughts, and deeds—and
doing so unapologetically, unwaveringly, fearlessly.

You have a choice—either be content with less than God’s best, or give
yourself fully to Him. Complete surrender is not an easy road; it
means dying to your desires and selfishness. But remember that the
Lord is willing and able to do more than we can even imagine.

Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing
love, that we may sing for joy and be glad
all our days.
( Psalms 90:14 *NIV )

God is a friend and companion for those who love and obey His Word.
For as king David said; Your word is a lamp to my fee and a light for
my path. ( Psalms 119:105 )

After all it is written; The Lord himself goes before you
and will be with you; He will never leave you nor
forsake you. So why not spend a little time in prayer with God each
and every day. You will find Him to be
your very best Friend indeed! Amen.

Now I would now like to share a poem with you,
It is titled.....
"My Unseen Guest"

God walks the trail with me each day,
He is my Friend, My Guide
However long or steep the road,
He's ever by my side.

He sits with me in evening's hush;
We speak, we laugh, we pray,
And my heart sings a joyful song...
He's never far away.

And through each dark and lonely night,
He's guarding from above.
In perfect peace, I rest secure
In His eternal love.
Poet, Lee Simmons
