For the baseball families that have asked to be updated on Rhonda's
condition and transplant:
Good News - The Bone Marrow Transplant for Rhonda was successful! She
is on the road to recovery. A message from Rhonda Christensen's Caring
Bridge Page I am not sure she is taking visitors yet. They still
have to be very careful. If you are planning a visit...it would be
best to check with them first. I have a feeling that they are
probably limiting visits at this time.

'Each one should use whatever gifts he has received to serve others,
faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms.' 1 Peter
4:10
While I would never call leukemia a gift, I would definitely say I
have received the gift of God's grace and provision. I look forward to
the road to recovery and finding the forms in which God wants me to
administer to others.
I AM HOME!!!! I am so happy to be back at home with a view of trees,
flowers and even Maggie our dog. I came home with a bag full of
medicines and lists of what I can and cannot do. It was like leaving
friends today at the hospital - there are so many caring,
compassionate people who work on the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit. I
told them I would be happy to stop by with cookies for a visit but I
would prefer not to be admitted.
We will watch closely for any signs of Graft versus Host Disease over
the next 90 days and make very frequent visits to the OUTPATIENT
clinic beginning tomorrow but I look forward to sleeping in my own bed
and waking up to a view.
We are so grateful for all the prayers and thoughts and messages from
our friends and family. I have truly felt uplifted throughout my
illness. Every time someone at the hospital would say 'those 14
million cells are really working' I would comment 'and those 14
million prayers'.
Blessings to you and yours,
Rhonda
