Hi Ya'll,

We are getting near the date of the 5k.  The facebook is up.  The Active site is up.  I need you all to advertise like crazy.  This means inviting all your friends on the Facebook invite.  Reposting the event on your wall and getting your friends to sign up.  I am sure that lisa has flyers for people to post.  

Margo you have in the past contacted local papers to put the event in as well as running clubs.  Can someone remind Don to invite his single parent's group??

How are we doing on the other stuff?  Roll Call.  Everyone tell me where they are on their normal parts.

Hola!  I will be printing more flyers and letters today if anyone wants them.   Yes, please start pushing your Facebook.  My Mom and I are working on sponsors as well.   Timing person has been set up. 

Niki have you spoken w Groupon yet.   If not, now is that time for sure. 

We will need more people/volunteers this year as Pops may be out of commission. 

We will need to get together and have a meeting for planning and confirming tasks so all is good and organized earlier this year.  Don't want any   late  night stressing for anyone. 😬😬

Hi Kids,

Not completely out of commission but will not be ready to do any of the physical work.

Since the Pasta feed is Sept. 23rd this year, do we want to get the mailer out earlier? Would need 5K flyer, Pasta Flyer, 1of 5oo and Jessica's update letter to go in the envelope.

We also have not done a good job of getting Names, Addresses and emails of attendees onto the mailing and email lists each year. Those lists keep getting smaller and the mailer plus email brings us the most success at raising $$$. 

I realize that our  lives get busy with our own responsibilities. Just as mine has. Perhaps we can recruit from other sources. Churches, schools, workplaces etc.......

It's not a lot of work. Just necessary to have extra hands a couple times a year.

I will send specific prices for this year as we have gone up again to meet the increased fees and it is still fine with the going prices out there.  

I have recruited another person to help me with marketing sponsors so hopefully that will help.  

Yes, please Nik lets get that out there as soon as possible.

If you all know of any companies you can send the sponsorship letter to please let me know.  You can either handle that or we will mail it to them.  

We will be short handed with help day of race this year so if anyone has friends willing to do so we could use some strong peeps to carry larger items.

Venue, check! Shirts, check! There day of, will be a check! Meeting (I can send a group dial in, if that's easier on the sooner basis, over meeting in person for an initial). The only action I have on final city permit is if anything has changed with power, booths, food, etc. xoxo ~ karen
