It sounds like our official Seattle hotel will be the Holiday Inn. However, in our search we did find a much more frugal alternative, the Seafair Inn at $81 / night. It's not as nice, and not as central. But I've also listed it on the site.
Other things people might find useful (which are also on the website) :

* if you need a place to dump some stuff before, say, going camping, leave it at my house

Frugal is definitely good, however a word of caution......current prices now are not the same as prices in June (seasonal).......need to make sure prices hold for June as well.....Just a comment...tks,Fred

I've been looking at rates less than this….one in particular by the airport. Another downtown for $129….both 3 stars. We arrive on Sat, June 7, so need to be a little more frugal….lots of days.

Holiday Inn Express in Seattle . I've negotiated a rate of $159......for either a King or double Queen room. We have 7 rooms blocked for our use. If we need more rooms, more will be added.
Reservations for the event can be made by individual attendees directly with Holiday Inn Express in Seattle by calling 206-674-6261, or the Holiday Inn Express Central Reservations at 1-800-465-4329 and ask for the wedding party Block (Stell-Smith/Light Wedding party), before May 20th, 2008.
As a point of interest, this hotel is 4 blocks away from Seattle 's Space Needle. Additionally, if you need to modify the dates for your particular schedule, Holiday Inn will modify the dates reserved as well on an individual basis....
