Welcome to the JEQL User's list!

The master repository for information about JEQL is the JEQL homepage
at: http://tsusiatsoftware.net/jeql/main.html

JEQL is a work in progress. Documentation is somewhat sparse at the
moment, but the intention is to improve it in the next few months.
The JEQL language and engine will also be evolving. This changes will
appear on the JEQL homepage. Notices of significant changes will be
published on this list.

Martin,

Thanks for setting up this discussion list for JEQL. If you are
looking for a place to start on the documentation for JEQL I'd like to
humbly suggest some example statements. I know this would help me get
started. :] If there is any way I can help, let me know.

Thanks,

The Sunburned Surveyor

Martin,

Thanks for creating this discussion group.
Hope I'll find time to test this library.
Any plan to integrate JEQL into OpenJUMP ?

Yes, absolutely - that's next on the list for documentation.

I do actually have quite a few sample apps - I just need to purty them
up and document them.

By the way, if you look in the sample folder of the distro, you'll see
lots of small examples of using JEQL. This includes a whole set of
unit tests, which effectively demonstrate most of the current language
features.

I've definitely thought about that, and I've tried to design the JQL
engine so that it would integrate easily and effectively.

If anyone is interested in working on this, I'd be happy to
collaborate on doing this.

Maybe after we figure out how to use it. :] It would be great to have
it for attribute table queries.

I've actually got 80% of the code done for a plug-in that would
support "external" tables for non-spatial features. I'd love to
integrate JEQL when I get time to complete the plug-in.

Thanks Martin. I will look at those examples.
