Hi to all from Fernandina Beach Florida. It has been a while and I thought I would give everyone a brief update. My cousin Chris and family joined me on Jenny for a mini vacation and trip from Brunswick GA to here. They were a delight to have onboard and I was glad for the company. They have three wonderful sons that are growing up to be fine adults.
I am at anchor here and enjoying the surroundings. The dolphin play around the harbor here all day and otherwise it is pretty quiet. The town is all about tourists so has good restaurants and frequently has live music events. I have the motorcycle down so shopping is easy. Nicholas and I are falling into a routine for his walks, baths, etc. So, you see I am leading a very boring life now. Actually this is good because it is giving me the space to write the book. Not the SiFi book. Not yet. But converting this log into a book. I am currently making my second edit pass of the 400 plus pages and hope to have it done by the end of September. I’m filling in a lot of the “color” and details as I go. Some things were not timely to speak about. And I’m hoping it might be interesting and useful to others. If it actually sells then I may be spurred on to go do some more exotic cruising. I may do it anyway.
A couple of recruiters want to “place” me and I might go back to work for a little while to build the cruising kitty back up. And I am on the hunt for the perfect woman. So absolutely everything is up in the air and I have no idea what is next. That takes the dull out of boring for sure.
