Heeeeeeelllo my incredible marbles!

I miss you all a ton! I cannot believe it's been almost TWO YEARS since I got to pick all of your beautiful souls and spend a year learning from you. I thought it would be fun to touch base and see what everyone is up to!

I was thinking it would be so fun if everyone sent a paragraph or two over this group about your current lives so we can know what's going on! Please please please jump in and reply all so we can catch up :)

SO I figured I'll start....sooo, I just moved to Arlington, right outside of DC! I started work two weeks ago and am enjoying it but so not used to the real world..it's weird waking up every day and commuting on the metro. People sometimes look at me like I'm an adult and ask me for directions--it's not quite something I'm used to yet. I also went to Europe for three weeks at the beginning of this summer! I went to seven countries and had the time of my life, and am now desperately wanting to travel again...I think Croatia, Greece and Turkey will be my next trip. Other than that I'm just missing state desperately and starting to sink into a depression that everyone moves back next weekend and I won't be there. However, I got tix to four games this fall, so wooohoo!!

Also, a quick note to all the babes still at school. If any of you are interested in applying to be a Captain this year, the applications just went live today. Please please PLEASE reach out to me if you have any questions or want advice. It was the best thing I've ever done....it brought me all of you! So text me, call me, email me, snapchat me if you wanna chat!

LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH,
Jenna

Hello Marbles!

I miss you all so dearly! First off, congrats Jenna on your new start! I'm sure your gonna kill it out in DC and I can't wait to visit (yup, I just invited myself). I feel the struggles of taking the train because I need to as well! This marble is recently employed in center city philly as a 6th grade math and science teacher. I will have two classes of 30 inner city kids, so any emotional support/ craft donations/ office supplies will be greatly appreciated!

As for still existing marbles, I also will be up for a few football games and I expect to play!

Peace, love, RUN JMC,

Miss Taylor aka tot

Hey Marbz!

This is a great idea Cap'n, I miss you guys a ton! I recently accepted a job in Bristol, CT working for ESPN, so I'll be moving up there at the start of September. It's a production based job so you won't be seeing me on SportsCenter or anything, but just know there's a chance I'm the guy cutting the game highlights you're watching!

The hours and workweek are probably going to be crazy (depending on what show I'm assigned to I could be working 4pm-2am, and scheduled on weekends and any given holida
y

) but any chance I get to come back to State I'll be there in a heartbeat, so if you're still at school be ready to spontaneously throw down!

Other than looking for a job, I've really just been enjoying the last summer of unemployment! Made it out to State for Arts Fest, spontaneously decided to drive to Chicago with a buddy of mine for a few days, won a few bucks in Atlantic City, so certainly no complaints there!

Again, miss you all like crazy and hope you're all doing great! And just for the hell of it, here's a little diddy for you all:

Hello perfect people! This summer was pretty tame for me as I was sick off and on basically the whole time, but I got to go to Oregon and to the Sunset Beach with my family which was great. Currently, I am FREAKING OUT because I am getting everything together to go back to school! I've been pretty shambley about it but I'm also very excited to be back at State. I've missed my friends and THON so much so it'll be so comforting to be around my people :) I have a house so let's play...also, I'm living with boys so.....that'll be an adventure (and yes I know, that is so typical of me, and no they are naht in any fraternities).

HELLLOOOOO MY PEOPLE

Congrats to all you real world livers. Like I probably will never make it to the real world so it's nice to live vicariously through you all. Also like you'll all kill it and make this world a better place and I'll be like one time I knew them so I'm basically famous.

As for me I really haven't been doing much out of the ordinary. Trying to like sort out my life ya know, breaking hearts, ruining boys' lives. The usual. I don't wanna be a senior so maybe I just won't go to class oops looks like I'm here forever.

I miss you all. Idk what I'm applying for for THON 2015 yet but like. I'll let you know.

Peace love and sunshine,
Rach

HELLO MARBLES!

I miss you all dearly! It's been wayyyyy too long! Congrats to all of the recent grads now entering the real world. Also HUGE shout out to Emilz for getting married! Way too real world for me to process.

After galavanting around Europe all last semester and living a vacation, I have unfortunately returned back to the US, but I'm extremely excited to be back at State for the fall. I just started an integrated MHA grad program (kinda blows), but on a happier note I will be at Penn State for an extra year! I also am finally 21 and can't wait to wreck havoc on all the State College bars. Sooo anyone and everybody is welcome to come visit and crash on my couch anytime. Or just stop by and visit me because I miss you all way too much.

PEACE AND LOVE ALWAYS,
Cayla

Hey hey marbz!

Great idea Jenna! Congrats on your job and likewise to all those marbles getting out there. Like Princess R said, you all are making the world better and brighter. And shoutout to my big on GETTING MARRIED WHAT. Remember when she got the rock and we were drooling? Lookin beautiful as ever, Emilz.

Soooo this summer has been pretty busy! I'm one day away from finishing my marketing internship with NESN aka New England Sports Network, which broadcasts Sox and Bruins games. It's been a great experience! Excel is my bf for the summer. But there are perks! I've gone to the Sox pregame tour (on the field at Fenway, #DIED) and today and tomorrow I'm helping out with the Jimmy Fund Telethon. A little less intense than THON but no less inspiring. There's 36 hours of feature stories and interviews with cancer patients and it all just brings me back to THON and you guys and reminds me how important it is to work for these things. We're currently at $838,892 and have raised $15 mil since 2002 for basically the same things for Four Diamonds - just in Boston!

I've learned that I do want to continue pursuing sports marketing but also want to (eventually) work with non-profits or sports foundations. So the job search will be exciting. Like Cayla, I was abroad in the spring so I'm excited as ever to get back to State for one more year!!!

Thank you all for being wonderful and inspiring. I'd love to see whoever is around back at PSU!

Much love,

Katniss :)

Reading everyone's response to this has made me so happy! Our committee will always stand out from the others to me and I hope to hear about all of your lives for many years to come. Congrats to everyone who graduated and are working/continuing school !!

I'm currently on vaca in the OBX and it's wonderful but am very excited to get back to state college on Saturday for senior year 😳 to anyone coming to visit this fall - please group text and let us all know!! I'll only be a part time student each semester (so I can stay a full year rather the graduate early 😬 Also JENNA are part time students eligible for captain positions? I should prob know this) anyway I will also be applying to grad schools so if anyone has encountered another university that's as wonderful as psu id love to hear suggestions! Or if any of you live near a school and want to support me for a few years that'd be great too.

Can't wait to hear from everyone else!! Also have to throw this in here - bachelor in paradise is my new guilty pleasure and should be all of yours. It's on Mondays at 8 so text me and we can discuss crazy bitch Ashlee. Love you all!

Hello everyone!

It's amazing to read all of these accomplishments. Crazy how we all are somewhere different in our lives. Thank you Jenna for keeping us in touch!

I spent this summer in NYC working at the Waldorf Astoria as a Sales intern...it was an amazing experience. I got to see my lil nugget Carly in the city as well while she was visiting :) We've had a talk about living together next summer if we both make it back in NYC so DEF hit us up.

Other than that I am excited for this year and to give tours as a lion ambassador. WE ARE<3

Greetings,

For those on that “work-grind,” I hope my timely response during the middle of the day gives you a few minutes of relaxation and alienation from any work related activities that may need to be completed.  Likewise, I have enjoyed reading everyone’s updates and look forward to seeing what Nutty has been working on since our separation. I still have anger from The Heist winning a Grammy for Best Rap Album of The Year.

Currently, I am packing to return to State College for Year 4. Not to worry, I am going an extra year apart of the Integrated MAcc program and would be honored if I could assist anyone with weekend sleeping arrangements.  I interned with a tax consulting firm in Pittsburgh this summer. Believe me, there is not an occupation much sexier than taxes. I was coerced into playing on my boss’ softball team this summer. I previously retired from softball after the Tokyo Giants were eliminated prematurely from the South Hills Community Softball League, but as Michael Jordan came back wearing 45, I realized there was no other option. Although this story applies to none of you, I have semi-officially retired from all future softball engagements.  Additionally, I registered multiple cavities in March – the first of my time on Earth.

To look to the future, I am a teaching assistant for the introductory accounting class. Please change my contact information in your phones to Professor Stephen Krolczyk. Furthermore, I will be celebrating a birthday on September ninth, and would love to share a Dairy Queen Round Cake with as many of you that are willing. This is my open invitation to all of you to celebrate with me at End Zones. Kidding on the End Zones part. I've also decided that I'm not celebrating any birthdays after turning twenty-five. I'm sure we can all recall the Full House episode of Danny turning thirty and the distress that came with his coming of age.

To conclude, Yeezus is the album of the year. I look forward to our next encounter.

To be continued...

Hey everyone!

I miss you all a lot! I hope everyone is doing well. Glad to hear some of the exciting things you are getting into! Keep working hard and striving forward! To fill you in on my current state of being, I am living in Penn Hills, PA (near Pittsburgh) working as a golf course assistant superintendent at Edgewood Country Club. I have been here close to a year now. I have been engaged to Jess since June. Things are going great even though she still lives at home. I am looking to move back home. I am waiting till winter when we aren't working as many hours. I am planning on attending some PSU football games this year and would love to hang out with anyone that will be around. Games to be decided. I'm hoping to move to state college in a couple years or so but that's up in the air. I just ran the tough mudder and it was awesome! I challenge you all to do something crazy that you normally wouldn't do! Be outgoing and explore different things! I love you all and hope that are paths meet again!

Thanks Cayla and Rebecca! Hi guys! Kudos to everyone living their dreams. So happy for all of you. As mentioned earlier I just got MARRIED. I am now Mrs. Theo Gagianas.  Our wedding was perfect as was my gluten free cake that went with it. Thats pretty much all I havr eaten since Monday because I have no time to eat anything else. I just started working at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in the Cardiac ICU. I love it and all of the people there are amazing expect they like to end their sentences with prepositions. A small detail to look past for the amazing experience I will have there. I wish everyone the best and can't wait to hear more about all of you!

Hi there, Alanna here!!

So happy to hear about everyone's lovely lives! I miss you all dearly and love being updated on everything. Special shout outs to Emily for the marriage and Jake for the engagement- Love is in the marble's air.

As for me, I just finished a summer internship with Burlington Coat Factory. I worked as a Buyer in Athletic Footwear- basically I planned out all of the sneaker merchandise for the 500+ stores around the country. Sooo I'm now a sneakerholic. I also just got back from a week long trip to Seattle where I visited my boyfriend (Met him at State, he just moved out there to work for Amazon, and yes long distance is not ideal but 2000 miles ain't got nothing on us).

I'll be a senior this year WOOOOooooOOOOO! I am currently THON Family Relations Chair for my business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi and can't wait to jump right into all things THON when I get back next week. I will also be splitting my time between FREAKING OUT trying to find a real life job and living it up being a senior and partaking in general college tomfoolery.

Hope to see many of your beautiful faces soon in the young adult wonderland known as State College:)

Keep on keepin on,

Alanna

Marbles! Haiiii!!!

Damn I miss college. Like all day every day. All of you undergrad babes don't take it for granted! STAY AS LONG AS YOU CAN!

I'm still in NYC, working and living (mostly working but you know). My life isn't really interesting because that's what happens when your old and graduated. I've been at Essence Digital for over a year now which is kind of weird. The advertising world is fun, and there's lots of drinking to be had. My company is pretty cool, they can get down and boogie. However, they're nothing like my marblezzzz. I'm still with Chuck (insert awwww here). He just moved to the city and I'm excited to not have to be long distance anymore. YAY! I miss you guys all so much and I'm so happy for Jake for getting engaged, Emily for getting married, and for all of you out there living your dreams.

Blink 182 was right, no one likes me now that I'm 23, but it's cool because I can still stanky leg.

Y'all need to seriously stop tugging on my heart strings. I'm still getting my head wrapped around everyone turning into adults: grown up jobs with hella responsibilities, juicy's not a freshman, and EGagianas is in the house. I really miss you guys because in all honesty you guys made 2013 my favorite THON year. Last year came close but no cigar.

I spent my summer here in State College working for OPP (why yes you know me) as an energy engineering intern. So basically I make the campus run more efficiently, you're welcome. I picked up a 2nd job for the semester as a bouncer at cafe, not kidding I'm by far the smallest one there, so come visit. And good news everyone, I'm graduating in December boo-ya! I've been getting interviews for solar engineering firms in New England, New Jersey, DC area, and California so who knows where the sunshine will take me.

I miss you all and when you decide to visit don't be strangers.
