I'm toying with Jenkins plugins in Ruby and it's pretty great so far, now i can hack a basic plugin in a matter of minutes. However, since the descriptor seems to be auto-generated as a generic class, how is global config handled? where do i put global.erb - the path should match configured class, but that would be the descriptor?

Also, in a view, in what scope does evaluation take place? what variables/objects are available? who is the "it" variable?

You can take a look at the new mysql jenkins plugin. They have global config working.
