Let's archive the UX/SIG mailing list and move on fully to community.jenkins.io

Hey everyone,

I'd like to propose to archive this mailing list, in favor of the community forum on community.jenkins.io, which is already used for communication, meeting notes and announcements.

This mailing list barely gets any attention anymore, the people who used it frequently moved on to the forums. There are still a few recent posts, in terms of meeting leads. The newest post had no replies and no views when I opened it earlier, and was posted 10 days ago.

Given google groups have no concept of archiving a list, I'd suggest to disable "Allow email posting" and "Allow web posting" on the group settings, while placing a link to the community forums as the group description.

Disabling both options turn this list into a read-only archive. 

 

To process the request, I've cc'ed a few members of the UX/SIG team, Mark as documentation officer (and the almost only one posting here) and Tyler as owner of this google group.

As member of the UX/SIG team, I +1 my proposal.
