REST API to create Credentials in jenkins

Hello,

I have created jenkins job through API and now trying to figure out how to create credentials through the API. 

Any help would be appreciated.

Could you be more specific? Do you mean create a new account? set an account password? Or allow certain accounts access to jobs?

Creating a new account (username, password) in jenkins credentials section through REST API's, preferably with JAVA.

Also please feel free to answer on allowing certain accounts access to jobs, that would be really helpful
