Hi,

I have a question related with the Metrics Plugin.

As far as I understand, this plugin gives statistics about the tests during a period of time. If the tests are run on the same hardware, then the results won't vary, but what happens if a test is run on a different hardware each time? Will the results be affected? Is the any normalization of the hardware to show the results?

Regards,
Roberto

I believe https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Metrics+Plugin is described as gathering metrics on the operations of the Jenkins master and the agents attached to it.  I don't see anything on that page which indicates it is gathering results of tests.

You are correct that test times and test results may vary depending on the agent which executes a test, but I don't see any indication that the metrics plugin processes individual test results in any way.

Would be nice functionality to add (or allow an extension plugin to add) but the schema might need careful consideration.
