Certificate Issue while cloning mercurial Repository

Hi Team,

We have configured Jenkins and added Mercurial plugin to it. After setting required details in Global tool configuration, below error is coming while trying to clone the mercurial repository by creating a new job

<C:\Program Files\TortoiseHg\hg.exe>" --debug clone --rev default --noupdate https://userRepositoryCloneURL/hg/ "<C:\Program Files (x86)\Jenkins\workspace\SampleProject>"

using https://RhodeCode:RepositoryURL/hg/
http auth: user username, password ******
sending capabilities command
abort: error: [SSL: CERTIFICATE_VERIFY_FAILED] certificate verify failed (_ssl.c:590)
ERROR: Failed to clone


Could you please give your inputs to resolve the error and proceed with the build.

It doesn't look like a Jenkins issue but an environmental issue. If you google you can find further references:
