Sharing files between slave/master in a pipeline

I see lots of info on sharing files, but via the GUI. How can I do it in a pipeline script?

I want to create a properties file with one job. I then want another job to read this properties file, and yet another cron job to add/modify/delete entries in this file.

Why is this so difficult, or at least scarce info on it?
