how can we trigger a build in Jenkins by a new label update in Surround SCM

I have a build setup done using Jenkins, I need to trigger the build only when a new labeling is done in surround SCM, I have the Surround SCM plugin installed, I was lost how to poll for label change.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
