Poll SCM works only in some projects

Hi

I am having a weird problem in my jenkins setup.

the scm polling is not working for some of the jobs (not all)

when I go to url/job/scmpolllog/ it says that it did poll but that there are no changes in the git repository (which is not true... there were changes)

if I manually trigger the job the changelog is being written and the job successfully fetches the data. which means that connectionwise everything is ok

there are no errors in the jenkins.log file

can anyone plz assist me debugging?

If you're currently running git plugin 2.3.5, you might consider replacing it with git plugin 2.3.4 to see if that behavior changes.  A change from 2.3.4 to 2.3.5 seems to have caused at least some cases of failure to detect changes in the remote repository, even though polling runs.
