Hi

Does anyone have any advice on using the either of these plugins?

We're having serious issues with how Jenkins chooses to schedule jobs, and I would like to be able to define some custom scheduling rules. Based on the names of these plugins, they seem to be what I might want to use. However, I can't find any working examples of how to use them, nor any documentation.

I've tried installing the External Scheduler Plugin, but it doesn't even provide the option for using a Groovy script that the plugin page promises. The only option presented is a for a REST service, similar to what the REST Service Scheduler Plugin page seems to promise. The latter plugin doesn't even seem to exist.

It seems like it would be easiest to do the scheduling according to a Groovy script, but if that's not possible I could set up the REST service. However, I don't know what the API is to interface with the Scheduler object.

Has anyone used these plugins successfully? Alternatively, is there some better/standard way to define custom scheduling rules for Jenkins?

Thanks
