Regarding unable to start jenkins

Hi Ashok,

Can you please explain your issue in more details plus to provide context where possible. From what you have given the only clue I have is that you are encountering the "queue refused to schedule" error. 

Say for example, can you provide the steps you used to start Jenkins? What system are you using to start Jenkins? Without more info it is hard to tell what might be wrong and what can be tried.

Hi Kris, 

I have killed the jenkins process and jobs process, which are already running in background. I have started the jenkins using java - jar jenkins.war and then unable to start the jenkins in macos.

Not really, at least not without your providing more details as were requested by Kris Stern earlier.

There are many users that run Jenkins on macOS and start it with the command `java -jar jenkins.war`.  They don't see the problem that you are seeing.  There must be something different about your environment than the environment of other users that are running on macOS.

Since you've not provided any details of the differences, it is unlikely that anyone will be able to help you fix the issue.  Without those details, you are hoping that someone has seen your exact issue, will guess that is the issue, and will tell you the answer, without knowing enough details to confirm that your issue matches their issue.

The "How to report an issue" page provides excellent guidance on the type of information that is needed when you're trying to persuade others to donate their time to help you.  Others are much more likely to help with guesses on the diagnosis of your issue when you provide the necessary details.

I am able to see the error, which I have already shared. 

What else shall I need to provide information in order to help me out to fix this issue?

I have tried the following: 

Clear the space and kill the jobs, which are in the queue. 

The issue is fixed but it will happen after some time.

You're trying to persuade other people to give their time to help you.  You're more likely to persuade them to give their time to help you if you follow the detailed instructions in "How to report an issue".  You haven't followed those detailed instructions.

Read and follow those detailed instructions.  Yes, there are many steps in those instructions.  Yes, it is a lot of work for you to follow those steps.

Hi Ashok,

Are you using a Mac and did you install either the weekly or LTS version of Jenkins and have it running in the background? If so you will need to shut this down before running the start command "java - jar jenkins.war". 

Have you tried checking to see if this is the case?

Yes and install the LTS version and running in background using nohup.
