Hi,

is 1.651.1 a supported branch with security updates? Or is it and end-of-life one? Couldn't find a page...

cheers,

Paolo

It's not, and it hasn't been for over a year.

We have two supported release lines, weekly and LTS, and both receive security updates. We never backport security fixes beyond that.

https://jenkins.io/download/lts/ explains the LTS line.

https://jenkins.io/security/advisories/ lists the security advisories, which mention fix versions.

You should be able to upgrade. As always, backups are strongly advisable, as is a staging system if you can't deal with some downtime.

https://jenkins.io/doc/upgrade-guide/ may help.

I have done a yum update of 2.60.1-1.1 and had to commented on /etc/sysconfig/jenkins
##JENKINS_AJP_PORT="8009"

to have it run again. The node had to be updated to Java 1.8 because the slave.jar was not running on 1.6.
