Hi all,
in the past few weeks an issue started happening on my Jenkins, where I can't save job configurations. When I try to use the "Save" button in the interface, nothing happens; if I click on the Apply button, an overlay error window appears with no text in it.
No exceptions are logged to the jenkins logfile; no HTTP request can be seen in the rproxy logs.
Am I the only one seeing this? Googling seems to show a few cases but they all show exception traces or HTTP 500 errors.

Thanks for any clues!

Jenkins 2.277.1 introduced configuration form modernization ("tables to divs").  Some plugins do not support the changes and will break forms.

Refer to the Jenkins 2.277.1 changelog, the Jenkins 2.277.1 upgrade guide, the Jenkins 2.277.1 webinar, and the following recommended steps:
  • Uninstall plugins with security vulnerabilities
  • Uninstall deprecated plugins
  • Uninstall unused plugins
  • Update to the latest plugin releases
If those steps do not resolve the issue, then compare your list of plugins with the plugins known to have issues with configuration form modernization.  If one of your plugins is in that list, consider either removing the plugin or submitting a pull request to fix the issue.

If that doesn't resolve the issue, open a bug report at https://issues.jenkins.io following the instructions at "How to report an issue" with particular attention to the detailed list of plugins and their versions.
