Jenkins slave error

Hello All,
I an getting an error in jenkins slave....... " java.io.IOException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host"........Please suggest possible solutions.....Thamks in advanced

Here is the error message i got :

Are you using an old version of slave.jar? It needs to be compatible with the version of master.

Also, when reporting problems, it helps to say what Jenkins version you are running, and on what platforms.

Have you tried to ssh from the master onto the slave? It looks like some networking issue, since jenkins ssh relies on the ssh protocol, if it doesn't work manually (ssh with the same credentials from the same master node) it won't work either
