Jenkins / JENKINS-57181 Jenkins ALM disconnection Issue Type: Bug Assignee: Oliver Gondža Components: jenkins-test-harness Created: 2019-04-25 12:47 Environment: CloudBees Jenkins Enterprise Priority: Major Reporter: Govind Sureka We have integrated UFT Automation test cases from ALM to CloudBees Jenkins Enterprise using Add Ins: Micro Focus Application Automation Tools--> Execute HPE functional tests from HPE ALM. When a particular test case ran for more than 2 hours there is disconnection between Jenkins and ALM and it gives Timeout error. The error message is Unhandled Exception: System.NullReferenceException: Your Quality Center session has been disconnected. Contact your system administrator for more information at Mercury.TD.Client.Ota.QC9.ITSTest.get_LastRun() at HpToolsLauncher.AlmTestSetsRunner.GetTestRunId(ITSTest currentTest) at HpToolsLauncher.AlmTestSetsRunner.WriteTestRunSummary(ITSTest prevTest) at HpToolsLauncher.AlmTestSetsRunner.RunTestSet(String tsFolderName, String tsName, Double timeout, QcRunMode runMode, String runHost) at HpToolsLauncher.AlmTestSetsRunner.Run() at HpToolsLauncher.Launcher.RunTests(IAssetRunner runner, String resultsFile) at HpToolsLauncher.Launcher.Run() at HpToolsLauncher.Program.Main(String[] args) An error occured while disposing runner: Your Quality Center session has been disconnected. Re: Jenkins ALM disconnection In the Component drop down we don't have option for Jenkins Plugin/Add in: Micro Focus Application Automation Tools. We are integrating Micro Focus ALM with Jenkins for execution of UFT Automation test cases. There we are facing issue with Timeout error.

Re: Jenkins ALM disconnection Govind Sureka, Hey I am not sure about this solution but meanwhile, I moved this issue to the developer of UFT step. I see that you're using an old version of the plugin, have you considered upgrading the plugin in order to check if the issue is solved? Also, please specify the version of the plugin, the Jenkins and UFT.

Re: Jenkins ALM disconnection We have verified that issue on the following version of Jenkins, plugin and UFT. Jenkins: 2.159 Also tried on CloudBees Jenkins Enterprise version of 2.150.3.2-rollong Plugin: Micro Focus Application Automation tools: 5.70 Quality Center: 12.55 Please let me know on which version of these combination this issue of Jenkins ALM timeout issue is resolved.

Re: Jenkins ALM disconnection Go to Tools->  ALM Connectivity -> Download ALM Connectivity ( on the ALM machine).   After running the TdConnect.exe,  run again the tests.

Re: Jenkins ALM disconnection The version i tried to send was introducing a new bug so I did not send it anymore. Pretty soon our new official version will be available 5.8. But I will try to find another fix in the meanwhile.
