Jenkins / Bug JENKINS-55981
Execute Scripts on Matrix steps are performed after email is sent
Issue Type: Bug Bug
Assignee: David van Laatum
Components: email-ext-plugin
Created: 2019-02-05 18:08
Environment: Jenkins 2.89.4
PostBuildScript 2.5.1
Email Extension 2.61
Priority: Major Major
Reporter: John David

Email is supposed to let all post-build steps run before it gets sent.

I have an number of post-build 'Execute Scripts on Matrix' Execute shell steps that run.

These jobs were added later so came after the Editable email step.

I am getting mail saying the build succeeded when it, in fact, failed on the post build matrix steps.

Looking at the build log of the top level matrix job confirms this.

At first, I thought it was the order and deleted the Editable email step and tried adding it last.

No matter what I do, it always gets placed as the first post build step.

Re: Execute Scripts on Matrix steps are performed after email is sent

There really isn't a way to specify that certain post-build steps will execute in any specific order. This is not something that email-ext can control.
