Jenkins / Bug JENKINS-58415
Google Play Android Publisher Plugin - folder level credential setup not working
Issue Type: Bug Bug
Assignee: Christopher Orr
Attachments: image-2019-07-09-16-05-29-520.png
Components: credentials-plugin, google-play-android-publisher-plugin
Created: 2019-07-09 21:09
Environment: Jenkins 2.121.2
Google Play Android Publisher Plugin 1.8
Credentials Plugin 1.18
Folders Plugin 6.5.1
Priority: Critical Critical
Reporter: Lu Shen

A google play service account has been set up. In Jenkins added a folder level credential of kind “Google Service Account from private key” but the project within that folder cannot find the credentials. See the attachment for the error - a folder credential was created at this point. If the credential of kind “Google Service Account from private key” is set up at global level it is visible for the job.

We need to use folder level credentials to restrict the access to upload builds to Google play.
